The Coast Guard handed down 36 courts-martial verdicts in the last three months of 2014 — three times as many in the previous quarter — in addition to seven military administrative actions, six reliefs for cause and 334 non-judicial punishments for 564 charges, according to good order and discipline statistics released Jan. 24.

Multiple Coast Guardsmen were found guilty of offenses including engaging in sexual intercourse in a Coast Guard workplace and engaging in sexual acts with an incapacitated victim, as well as various drug and fraud offenses.

Here's a list of courts-martial in the fourth quarter. For a full list good order and discipline data, refer to ALCOAST 026/15. Unlike the Navy, the Coast Guard does not disclose the names of personnel convicted of crimes.

  • An E-8 was convicted by special court-martial of disobeying a lawful order by dating a recent graduate of recruit training, endeavoring to influence the testimony of a witness before an investigating officer, and wrongfully having sexual intercourse with another person, not the member's spouse. The member was sentenced to a reduction in paygrade to E-6 and a general discharge.
  • An E-8 was convicted by summary court-martial of assaulting another member on multiple occasions, threatening to injure another member, and endangering the safety of a child under the age of 16. The member was sentenced to a reprimand and a reduction in paygrade to E-7.
  • An E-7 was convicted by general court-martial of making false official statements and committing indecent acts upon a minor under the age of 16. The member was sentenced to 36 months confinement, a reduction in paygrade to E-1, forfeiture of all pay and allowances and a bad-conduct discharge.
  • An E-7 was convicted by special court-martial of violating a lawful general order by engaging in a prohibited romantic relationship outside of marriage, engaging in sexually intimate behavior on board a Coast Guard vessel, abusive sexual contact against another member and adultery. The member was sentenced to a letter of reprimand, a reduction in paygrade to E-4, and one month confinement.
  • An E-7 was convicted by summary court-martial of misusing a government travel charge card and making false official statements. The member was sentenced to a reduction in paygrade to E-6. The member voluntarily retired as a part of the pre-trial agreement.
  • An E-7 was convicted by summary court-martial of engaging in sexual intercourse in a Coast Guard-controlled work place and adultery. The member was sentenced to a reprimand, forfeiture of $1,200 in pay and a reduction in paygrade to E-6.
  • An E-7 was convicted by summary court-martial of violating a lawful general order by engaging in sexual behavior in a Coast Guard-controlled work place and adultery. The member was sentenced to a letter of reprimand, 30 days restriction, and a reduction in paygrade to E-6.
  • An E-6 was convicted by general court-martial of wrongfully engaging in personal and romantic relationships with two students at the training command where the accused was an instructor, transmitting sexually explicit language through the Coast Guard office communicator, and endeavoring to impede an investigation. The member was sentenced to a reduction in paygrade to E-3, 30 days confinement and a bad-conduct discharge.
  • An E-6 was convicted by general court-martial of maltreatment of two members, committing abusive sexual contact against another member, and intentionally exposing oneself in an indecent manner. The member was sentenced to a reduction in paygrade to E-3, four months confinement and a bad-conduct discharge.
  • An E-6 was convicted by general court-martial of wrongfully engaging in sexual intercourse with another member in a Coast Guard controlled work place, adultery and assault consummated by a battery. The member was sentenced to a reduction in paygrade to E-3, 45 days confinement and a bad-conduct discharge.
  • An E-6 was convicted by general court-martial of maltreating a subordinate, making false official statements and committing abusive sexual contact against another member. The member was sentenced to a letter of reprimand, 60 days restriction, 60 days of hard labor without confinement, a $1,500 fine, a reduction in paygrade to E-4 and a general discharge.
  • An E-6 was convicted by special court-martial of unlawfully pushing another member. The member was sentenced to a reprimand, 60 days restriction, forfeiture of $100 in pay a month for two months and a reduction in paygrade to E-5.
  • An E-6 was convicted by special court-martial for dereliction of duty. The member was sentenced to 30 days confinement.
  • An E-6 was convicted by summary court-martial of signing official records with intent to deceive. The member was sentenced to 30 days restriction, forfeiture of $500 pay and a reduction in paygrade to E-5.
  • An E-6 was sentenced by summary court-martial for cruelty and maltreatment of a subordinate, committing abusive sexual contact against another member and assaulting another member. The member was sentenced to a reprimand, 35 days restriction and forfeiture of $750 in pay.
  • An E-5 was convicted by general court-martial of committing abusive sexual contact against another member, engaging in sexual contact of another member who was substantially incapacitated, and knowingly possessing a computer hard drive containing child pornography. The member was sentenced to a reduction in paygrade to E-1, six years confinement and a dishonorable discharge.
  • An E-5 was convicted by general court-martial of engaging in sexual harassment against another member, maltreating three subordinates, making false official statements, committing abusive sexual contact against another member by using restraint, engaging in a sexual act with another member who was incapable of declining participation, intentionally exposing his genitalia on multiple occasions, touching and causing bodily harm to two members, touching another member by using unlawful force, and appropriating the camera of another member to photograph his own genitalia. The member was sentenced to a reduction in paygrade to E-1, eight years confinement and a dishonorable discharge.
  • An E-5 was convicted by special court-martial of disorderly conduct, being absent from the place of duty for one day, disobeying a lawful command, dereliction of duty and signing an official record with intent to deceive. The member was sentenced to 120 days of confinement, a reduction in paygrade to E-3 and a bad-conduct discharge.
  • An E-5 was convicted by special court-martial of altering a lease with the intent to defraud the U.S. of overseas housing allowance, making false official statements and stealing $500 of OHA on diverse occasions. The member was sentenced to 30 days of confinement, a reduction in paygrade to E-4 and a general discharge.
  • An E-5 was convicted by summary court-martial of searching a backpack belonging to another person without legal justification, leaving a backpack unsecured containing what was believed to contain illegal drugs, drug paraphernalia, weapons, and ammunition, making false official statements, and influencing the actions of a state law enforcement agency by conducting an illegal search of a backpack. The member was sentenced to 15 days restriction, a reduction in paygrade to E-4 and a general discharge.
  • An E-5 was convicted by summary court-martial of failing to obey a direct order by dating a Coast Guard recruit, making false official statements and adultery. The member was sentenced to 30 days restriction and a reduction in paygrade to E-4.
  • An E-5 was convicted by summary court-martial of maltreatment. The member was sentenced to a letter of reprimand, one month restriction, a reduction in paygrade to E-4 and a general discharge.
  • An E-4 was convicted by general court-martial of making false official statements, signing an official statement with intent to deceive, engaging in a sexual act with another member who was substantially incapacitated, committing abusive sexual contact against another member who was asleep, unconscious, or otherwise unaware that the sexual contact was occurring, unlawfully touching another member in an offensive manner, and unlawfully entering the room of another member with the intent to commit abusive sexual contact. The member was sentenced to one year confinement, a reduction in paygrade to E-1 and a bad-conduct discharge.
  • An E-4 was convicted by general court-martial of sexually assaulting and unlawfully grabbing another member. The member was sentenced to a reduction in paygrade to E-1, 90 days confinement and a bad-conduct discharge.
  • An E-4 was convicted by summary court-martial of engaging in sexual harassment of another member and unlawfully kissing another member. The member was sentenced to forfeiture of $1000 dollars pay, a reduction in paygrade to E-1, 30 days confinement and a general discharge.
  • An E-4 was convicted by summary court-martial of making false official statements. The member was sentenced to a reprimand, 30 days confinement and a reduction in paygrade to E-3.
  • An E-4 was convicted by summary court-martial of bring marijuana onto an installation used by the armed forces and using marijuana. The member was sentenced to 25 days confinement, a reduction in paygrade to E-1 and a general discharge.
  • An E-3 was convicted by special court-martial of wrongfully appropriating another member's automobile, wrongfully orally communicating indecent language to another member, communicating indecent language in writing to another member, and unlawfully touching another member. The member was sentenced to a reduction in paygrade to E-1, four months confinement and a bad-conduct discharge.
  • An E-3 was convicted by special court-martial of distributing Clonazepam, using Clonazepam, using cocaine and marijuana, stealing Clonazepam from another member and being incapacitated while performing duties. The member was sentenced to a reduction in paygrade to E-1, 75 days confinement and an other-than-honorable discharge.
  • An E-3 was convicted by general court-martial of committing abusive sexual contact against another member by force, committing abusive sexual acts against another member when the accused knew that the victim was incapable of consenting to the sexual acts due to impairment by alcohol, pushing another member against a wall and holding the victim's arms, and unlawfully entering the bedroom of another member. The member was sentenced to a reduction in paygrade to E-1 and a bad-conduct discharge.
  • An E-3 was convicted by summary court-martial of maltreating a subordinate, unlawfully grabbing another member, unlawfully touching another member and disorderly conduct. The member was sentenced to 21 days of confinement, a reduction in paygrade to E-1 and a general discharge.
  • An E-3 was convicted by summary court-martial of wrongfully distributing oxycodone/paracetamol on multiple occasions. The member was sentenced to forfeiture of $500 in pay, a reduction in paygrade to E-1 and a general discharge.
  • An E-3 was convicted by summary court-martial of violating a lawful general order by failing to wear a seatbelt while in a moving vehicle, assaulting another member by choking and pulling hair while that member was driving a vehicle, striking four members, and drunk and disorderly conduct. The member was sentenced to forfeiture of $500 in pay, a reduction in paygrade to E-1 and 30 days confinement.
  • An E-3 was convicted by summary court-martial of striking another member, supplying alcohol to a minor, and drunk and disorderly conduct. The member was sentenced to a letter of reprimand, forfeiture of $500 in pay, a reduction in paygrade to E-2 and 30 days confinement.
  • An E-3 was convicted by summary court-martial of violating a lawful general order by using spice and cocaine on diverse occasions. The member was sentenced to a reduction in paygrade to E-1, 20 days confinement and an other-than-honorable discharge.
  • An E-2 was convicted by special court-martial for being absent without authority, making false official statements, using methamphetamine and stealing internal parts of a government M16 rifle. The member was sentenced to a fine of $500, a reduction in paygrade to E-1, three months confinement and a bad-conduct discharge.
