The Coast Guard received a call early Sunday about a fishing vessel taking on water after striking a submerged object just south of San Clemente Island off the coast of San Diego, according to Coast Guard News.
The fishing vessel Truline was approximately one-half mile south of the island when Coast Guard Sector San Diego MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter, Response Boat-Medium and Cutter Sockeye crews responded.
All 20 passengers were transferred to the Sockeye and the five crew members stayed with the Truline as it was moored to Newport Beach Shipyard.
There were no injuries reported. The Coast Guard is investigating the incident.
