NORFOLK, Va. (AP) — A Navy sailor who served prison time for fatally shooting his friend is back behind bars after being sentenced this time by a military judge on related charges.

The Virginian-Pilot reports 26-year-old Petty Officer Austin Greening pleaded guilty this week in military court to involuntary manslaughter and obstruction of justice in Kristopher Klubert's death and was sentenced to three and a half years in the brig.

Greening said he accidentally shot Petty Officer Klubert in 2013 after he was handed a loaded gun while he was playing a video game.

Greening had already pleaded guilty in a civilian court in Klubert's death and served six months. After being released, he was arrested by military officials and charged with murder. A judge found him not guilty of that charge Thursday.
