Fire damages indoor shooting range at Navy base

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — The Navy says a fire has damaged the shooting range at Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek.

Multiple media outlets report that the fire occurred Tuesday as Navy personnel were doing routine training at the Rodriguez Indoor Shooting Range.

The building was evacuated and no injuries were reported. Firefighters from Virginia Beach and Naval Station Norfolk contained the fire to the building.

The Navy says the cause of the fire hasn't been determined.
