By the Navy’s count, there’s 101,538 active duty as well as full-time and drilling reservists awaiting the news — will they one of the chosen few sailors who net one of the slated 21,383 advancements that will be handed out starting tomorrow.
The Navy is set to release advancement results to command leaders on Nov. 24. Navy Times is set to publish the full list of selectees on Wednesday, Nov. 25 at 11 a.m., Eastern Standard Time., That's the news as every command in the fleet prepares for the Navy's release of advancement results to commands Nov. 24. A public release is slated for Nov. 25, the day before Thanksgiving.
Advancement slipped again this cycle, with 23.3 percent of those passing their tests earning one of the coveted advancement spots. getting into or up in the petty officer ranks. That opportunity dipped from a 24.7 percent chance in the spring. just slightly from 24.7 percent shot in the spring.
"Total advancement opportunity, which is the [Meritorious Advancement Program] advancements plus the Navy-wide advancement exam, remains very strong," said Capt. Will Kronzer, head of enlisted force plans, policies and oversight for the Chief of Naval Personnel.
The list on Wednesday release will only include the names of those sailors advanced through the fall Navy-Wide Advancement exam system. This summer, Though officials counted this summer's 2,282 sailors were spot-advanced up the petty-officer ranks. Officials subtracted the spot advancements from total quotas to set the open slots for test-takers. and there Meritorious Advancement Program advancements against the quotas, those sailors have already been notified and advanced and their names won't be included in the list.
Command's will get the news Nov. 25. before mid-day so leadership can start notifying their advanced sailors and work to soften the blow for those who are left to try again in the spring.
Navy Times is expected to have the list online at 11:00 Eastern Standard Time on Nov. 26th with the public release of the names.
Again this cycle, Officials are set to release all three lists — active, selected reserve and reserve full-time support — will be released at the same time. as the chief of naval personnel and the chief of the Navy Reserve again have combined efforts for the simultaneous release.
What's not clear, yet, is when sailors can expect to find their own text and final multiple results, which are sent through the Navy Knowledge Online Web Portal.
Navy Personnel officials say that sailor profile sheets, with their test results and final multiple calculations, will be available on Navy Knowledge Online on Wednesday. Nov. 25 simultaneously with the public release of names.
