Authorities are searching for a Connecticut-based submarine officer who went missing last week.
Ensign Jacob E. Tyler, 24, was last seen on the morning of April 17, when he left his Groton residence on his blue 2014 Honda CBR motorcycle with a Connecticut license plate of 00KSVK, according to Groton police.
Tyler, assigned to the submarine North Dakota, was reported missing by his roommates, according to Detective Lieutenant Nick Parham.
He is 5-feet 11-inches tall and weighs about 220 pounds, police said. It was unclear what he was wearing when he went missing.
Parham said foul play is not suspected, and the department is “chasing down every avenue possible and working our way backwards on his life.”
Naval Criminal Investigative Service is assisting, according to Submarine Force Atlantic officials.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Groton police at 860-441-6712.
