Authorities have found a sailor who had been missing for about a week unharmed in another state.

Ensign Jacob E. Tyler was last seen leaving his Groton residence on the morning of April 17 on his blue Honda CBR motorcycle.

The 24-year-old, assigned to the Virginia-class attack submarine North Dakota, never reported to work that day and was subsequently reported missing. A post by his mother on Facebook about his disappearance was shared more than 2,200 times, The Day reported.

Police said they found nothing during the investigation to indicate foul play, but would not detail the condition in which Tyler was found, the report said.

The Naval Criminal Investigative Service, Groton City Police, Connecticut State Police, Plainfield Police and the FBI all assisted in the search.
