The Navy released the list of all FY2019 active-duty master chief selectees today.

It was a little tougher to make the Navy’s top enlisted rank this year, the advancement dropping from roughly a 15 percent opportunity in FY2018 to just over 14 percent this year.

That slip came after four straight years of increases.

This year’s board reviewed the records of 3,460 eligible senior chiefs, an eligible population numbering 42 fewer than last year. This year, 506 sailors are expected to net a second star over their anchor.

Congratulations to all new master chief petty officers.
